Ingredients

  • Ingredients:- Prepared khichdi – 2 bowls. Chilli, garlic and ginger paste – 2tbsp. Chopped onions – 2. Chopped tomatoes – 1. Boiled corn kernels – 1/2 cup. Bay leaf, clove, curry leaves, asafeotida – for tempering (tadka). Chopped coriander – 1tbsp. Garam masala – 2tsp. Red chilli powder – 2tsp. Salt – to taste. Syrup of sweet lime pickle – 2tbsp. Oil – to fry. Fresh bread crumbs – 1 bowl. All purpose flour (maida) – for covering. For garnishing:- Mix green salad and three coloured bell peppers. Method:- Heat some oil in a pan and add cloves, bay leaf, asafoetida and curry leaves and prepare a tadka. Add the chilli, ginger and garlic paste to the pan. Add chopped onions and chopped tomato and saute it. Add the boiled corn kernels, salt, garam masala, red chilli powder and sweet syrup of lemon pickle. Add freshly chopped coriander, prepared khichdi, bread crumbs and mix properly. Add some water and salt in the all purpose flour and make it into a paste (don’t make it liquidy). Make cylindrical rolls out of the khichdi mixture and dip them into the paste of all purpose flour. Fry the prepared rolls into oil till golden brown. Garnish with the green salad and three coloured bell peppers and serve.
